International Standards
At DCARBIA Conseil, we ensure full compliance with the leading international environmental and social standards, including:
The ESF applies to all World Bank Investment Project Financing (IPF) starting from October 1, 2018. Borrowers must conduct risk assessments, prepare instruments (ESIA, ESMP, RAP, LMP, SEP, etc.), and establish monitoring and grievance mechanisms.
The IFC Performance Standards 2012 (IFC PS 2012) are a set of environmental and social (E&S) standards developed by the International Finance Corporation to guide private sector investment projects in managing environmental and social risks responsibly and sustainably.
The Integrated Safeguards System (ISS) of the African Development Bank (AfDB) is the environmental and social safeguard framework the Bank uses to manage risks and impacts of its projects. It was approved in 2013.
The ADB Safeguard Policy Statement (2009) is the current framework, and a new Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) is being finalized and expected to replace the SPS soon

The Environmental and Social Sustainability Framework (ESSF) of the European Investment Bank (EIB) is the institutional framework that guides how the EIB ensures its operations are environmentally and socially sustainable. It defines the environmental, climate, and social standards that must be met by all projects financed by the EIB.
The latest version was adopted in 2022, replacing the 2009 Statement of Environmental and Social Principles and Standards. It reflects evolving EU policy priorities, especially in relation to the European Green Deal, EU climate law, and human rights frameworks.

We offer comprehensive ESIA services in line with national regulations and international standards, including those of the World Bank, IFC, AfDB, AFD, and other multilateral development banks. Our approach ensures that infrastructure and development projects are designed and implemented in a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable manner.

Resettlement Action Plan
We provide end-to-end services for the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs) in compliance with national legislation and international standards, particularly the World Bank ESF (ESS5), IFC Performance Standard 5, AfDB’s OS2, and ADB’s SPS. Our approach is people-centered, rights-based, and development-oriented, ensuring that project-affected people (PAPs) are treated fairly and supported to improve — or at least restore — their livelihoods and living standards.

We offer comprehensive Stakeholder Engagement Planning services that comply with national regulatory requirements and international standards (such as the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework – ESS10, IFC Performance Standard 1, and AfDB ISS).

Sustainability management
We provide end-to-end sustainability management services to ensure that major infrastructure projects are planned, designed, and delivered in alignment with global sustainability goals, climate commitments, and stakeholder expectations. We offer integrated eco-design services that embed environmental innovation, sustainability, and nature-based solutions at the heart of infrastructure development.
